Community Mediation & Restorative Services, Inc believes training is an effective strategy as we seek to develop the capacity of our community to respectfully resolve conflict and repair harm. We collaborate with other mediation and restorative parties to create more opportunities for people to participate in transformative, skill-building experiences.

30 Hour Collaborative-Basic Civil Mediation Training

September 13, 2019 @ 9:00 am - September 28, 2019 @ 5:30 pm

Focus of Training: Civil mediation training with a housing emphasis and restorative practice design

Topics Include: • Conflict resolution and mediation theory • Mediation skills and techniques • Components in the mediation process • Mediator conduct • Rules, statutes, and practices governing mediation • Mediating in court, community, and school settings

Credits: 30 Hour Rule 114 Continuing Education Credits and CLE to be applied for.


Friday and Saturday, September 13-14

Friday and Saturday, September 27-28

Each day will begin promptly at 9 am and will conclude at 5:30 pm.

Attendance at all 30 hours is required

Meets Rule 114 requirements for the Supreme Court Mediator Roster

Scholarships: Scholarships are available if you are affiliated with a sponsoring organization, no one is turned away.

Registration is limited to 30 individuals.

Meals and Comfort:

A variety of food will be provided during the training, if you have a serious food allergies please indicate in an email to [email protected]

Please dress in layers, lectures and presentations will be inside and some activities/groups may be held outside depending on weather conditions.

Private space is available if needed.
