Community Mediation & Restorative Services, Inc believes training is an effective strategy as we seek to develop the capacity of our community to respectfully resolve conflict and repair harm. We collaborate with other mediation and restorative parties to create more opportunities for people to participate in transformative, skill-building experiences.

Learning from Baltimore: Listening When It’s Hard To

This training, from 2-4pm Central time,  teaches people how to notice how their judgments get in the way of hearing what’s important to others. It teaches Inclusive Listening, which is the main skill our mediators use, and can be helpful for every day life. People will learn how to work on understanding intense feelings, what’s important to others, and concrete topics that can be resolved.
