Dedicated and trained volunteers serve as the backbone of CMRS enabling us to remain closely connected to and representative of the communities we serve. Because of their collective generous contributions of time and talent, lives are changed and communities are transformed.

There are five different types of volunteers:
- Volunteer mediators and facilitators
- Board of Directors, Committee or Advisory Council
- Interns (Law students work through Minnesota Justice Foundation)
- Community Members
- Program Volunteers
